Terms and Conditions for Relying Parties

The Relying Parties specified by the Certificate Authority of MOI (hereinafter referred to as "the Authority") refers to the individuals who believe the corresponding connection between the Certificate Subject Name and the Public Key.

Before using the certificate issued by the Authority, the Relying Parties are obliged to examine the certificate validity through the certificate and Certificate Status Protocol of the Authority. The following operation of using certificates shall not be permitted until the validity is confirmed.

  • Examining the integrity of the electronic documents.
  • Examining the producer's identity of the electronic documents.
  • Establishing a secure communication channel to the Certificate Subject.

Relying Parties' Obligations

  • When using the certificate issued by the Authority or querying about the Authority's Web Repository, the Relying Parties should observe the relevant provision of the Certification Practices Statement (hereinafter referred to as "the Guideline").
  • The Relying Parties should examine the guarantee degrees of the certificate to protect their interests when using the certificate issued by the Authority.
  • The Relying Parties should examine the digital signature to confirm the accuracy of the information in advance when using the certificate or the revocation list issued by the Authority.
  • The Relying Parties should confirm the purpose of the Key provided in the certificate when using the certificate issued by the Authority.
  • The Relying Parties should examine the revocation list in advance and confirm the validity of the certificate when using the certificate issued by the Authority.
  • The Relying Parties should choose safe computer environments and reliable application systems carefully and should be liable for any liability themselves. Be cautious of choosing secure computer environments and reliable applied systems. If any computer environment or application system violates the interests of the Relying Parties, the Relying Parties shall be liable for the liabilities himself.
  • If the Authority fails to undertake the operation regularly, the Relying parties should look for other ways fulfilling due legal acts to others as soon as possible and shall not defend against the third parties in respect of operation failures.
  • To accept the certificate issued by the Authority is to understand and approve its terms of the legal responsibilities concerned, and to utilize the certificate according to the regulations of section 1.3.7 in the Guideline. Accepting the certificate issued by the Authority implies that the lying parties have understood and agreed with the terms and conditions concerning the legal liabilities set by the Authority and shall use the certificate subject to the provision of Section 1.3.7 in the Guideline.
