1. To change certificate records, such as changing the name or ID card number, you must apply to revoke your certificate or be automatically revoked by the Certification Authority. To apply for a new certificate, you must bring with you your original ID card and relevant documents to the counter for identity verification. This is necessary for approval of the new certificate contents.
2. You can ignore the above procedures if you only want to change your email address and that you do not use encryption email.
3. If you change your ID card number or name, the Certification Authority will automatically revoke your certificate.

If you want to change your ID card number or email address, you can apply for a new certificate by bringing your original certificate IC card to the registration counter. You must buy a new IC card and apply for a new certificate if you change your name since your IC card contains your name, card number and other personal information. (You must buy a new IC card if you change your name and ID card number. It is not necessary to buy a new IC card if you only change your email address. To apply for a new IC card, go online to apply for reservation.)

To change your name you must apply for a new certificate. Also, you must first revoke your original certificate and download the correct certificate contents. This way, you must bring with you your original certificate IC card to the household registration office for change of contents. Application time depends on the online status and takes about 10 to 15 minutes for getting your IC card.

To change your name, the Certification Authority will automatically revoke your certificate. You can apply for a new certificate one week after name change. Follow same procedures as your first application. You are recommended to make reservation first before going to the household registration office so as to save your time.
