After a series of test runs in 2012 when Ministry of the Interior has enabled the convenience stores’multimedia information workstation to incorporate with some popular public services, including the "Electronic Land Transcript Download and Printing", "Household Registration Transcript Application Submission", "National Pension Payment Proof Printing" and "Health Insurance Payment Proof Printing”. Utilizing the widespread localities of the convenient stores and its 24-7 services, Ministry of the Interior has held a press conference to announce a formal debut of these MOICA services on Feb. 22, 2013.
In the past, people must go to the House Registration Office to file an application for the household registration transcript. Now they may just carry their MOICA card (Citizen Digital Certificate) to a convenience store to file an application. After paying the transcript document fee at 15 NTD, the mailing and handling cost at 13 NTD, the applicant can just wait and receive the transcript at their mailing address. It’s really convenient and time-saving!
Wishing to use the MOICA to apply for the "Electronic Land Transcript” but couldn’t get a printout because no printer installed at home? No problem! Just carry the MOICA to a convenient store and use the multimedia information workstation to download and print the "Electronic Land Transcript” you’ve just applied online.
For the convenience of the public to obtain proof of payment on the National Health Insurance or the National Pension Insurance as the deductibles of filing Individual Income Tax, the Bureau of Labor Insurance and the Bureau of National Health Insurance have online services for people with MOICA to obtain their and their dependents’ payment proof printouts for the previous year. These three printing services charge only 2 NTD each, virtually for the paper and ink cost only, a token for the government to motivate the public.
In addition to the above four services, the Ministry of the Interior is also actively coordinating relevant government units and agencies to develop more applications that can be operated in convenience stores through the use of MOICA. People will not only enjoy its convenience, but also its safety feature. Convenience stores with these services provided are as follows:
