Tax Filing, Labor Insurance, Health Insurance Inquiry … Discovering the Innovative Ways of Using MOICA (Citizen Digital Certificate) The income tax filing is coming in about a month. With the MOICA, not only the personal income data can be downloaded, but also the insurance, housing loan interests and post-secondary education tuition deductions are accessible through the internet. With these three additional data downloaded, the tax filing becomes more convenient! With the advent of the digital era, more people are using the internet to deal with their personal matters and eagerly expecting to avoid going out in person as much as possible. There is a catch, though. On the Internet, all interacting processes are not easily verified that the other party is who or what they claim to be. The opposite is true, too. Therefore, how to recognize each other's identity is a critical factor for the success of using internet. MOICA is just like a personal ID card on the internet. With this card, people can enjoy the various online services that government agencies have launched unimpeded. This year's award-winning parties and their winner applications are as the following. The applications for citizen services include "The Income Tax Filing – Electronic Documents for the Tax Deductibles” from the Financial Data Center, Ministry of Finance, “Fast, Easy Access to the Electronic Land Transcripts” from the Department of Land Administration, Ministry of the Interior, and "Online Vehicle License Number Selection System" from the Motor Vehicle Offices, Taipei City Government. The applications for government operations include "Real-time Monitoring of Industrial Waste Transport Vehicle" from the Environmental Protection Agency, "Single Sign-on and Citizen Digital Certificate Authentication System” from the Centers for Disease Control, Dept. of Health, Executive Yuan, "Document Management System" from Hsinchu County Government, "Yilan County Paperless Central Payment Voucher System" from Yilan County Government, and the "Long-term Preservation of Electronic Records Management System" from the National Archives Administration. |
