What to do if “PIN Code Error” message appears during Citizen Digital Certificate application service?
(1) Enter your initial PIN code if you have not yet changed it. Your initial PIN code is formed by six digits, representing respectively the year, month and day of birth. For instance, if your birth falls on 15 March 66 (ROC Calendar), your PIN code would be 660315. (2) If you have changed your PIN code using Alphabetic and Alphanumeric characters, you must pay attention to the lower and upper cases. If your keyboard is locked to upper cases, it could cause PIN code errors. (3) You must set your PIN with a minimum of six characters and a maximum of eight characters. More or less characters would fail your system and displays PIN code error message. (4) If you still have PIN code setting or input problems after entering and reconfirming your PIN code, please dial direct: 0800080-117 for customer service.
The screen does not display the certificate subscriber name while doing online applications, why?
If the IC card shows the subscriber name but cannot display it while viewing its contents, this happens when the name of certain subscriber contains difficult characters that the system does not recognize. This will not affect use of the certificate on the internet. You are advised to check whether you can carry out the application services on applicable websites and that the certificate can be used in a normal way. If the certificate can be used in most cases but cannot use in certain application service, please check customer service of the various service units, or dial our toll free number 0800-080-117 for customer service.
After entering your ID card number and successfully reconfirmed, why can’t we use relevant application service?
After entering your ID card number and PIN code and normally logged in, it shows there is no problem with your certificate and you must not freely revoke your certificate. However, if your online application service does not work properly after successful login, please record fully the error messages and dial customer service telephone or Interior Ministry CA customer service: 0800-080-117.
